At this stage of development being exposed to math visually is essential to building a strong understanding of math in the future. After all seeing is believing! Check out some of the fun sites below to help build your child's skills.
2 learn.ca is another great website with games and information for all subject areas. Simply go to 2learn.ca, choose your chlild's grade level and then subject and topic of study for fun ways to practice. Enjoy learning!
AAA Math
- This site lets you review concepts and practice them online. It scores you and tells you the correct answers. The concepts include most taught in Grade 4.
- Here you can do flashcards with adding and subtracting on the computer! The game will tell you if the answer is correct, and if you get it wrong, it tells you the right one.
- You can print out your own worksheets to practice your math at home!
- English math games
- peg + cat is an animated, math based adventure series. They are in the middle of math based word problems every episode. Episodes can be found on PBS, Treehouse TV and NetFlix, or YouTube.
